An integrated multiple layer perceptron-genetic algorithm decision support system for photovoltaic power plant site selection

There is a need for non-renewable energy sources in generation of power almost every domestic and commercial purposes. This source helps the development country. Because increasing usage fossil fuels depletion these resources, our focus has been shifted towards renewable like solar, water wind. Therefore, present scenario, rapidly. Selection solar plant (SPP) requires environmental factor, local terrain, weather issues. Thus, large amount investment required installation. Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method that identifies one choosing best sites among other proposed options. paper gives detailed study optimal ranking SPP site using analytical hierarchy process (AHP), multiple layer perceptron (MLP) neural network trained with back propagation (BP) algorithm genetic (GA). Three India were considered various important criteria weather, geographical location, factors are included as selection multi-criteria problem. A precise comparison three methods listed this paper.
